Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there. Al Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there. Although mine has been gone for nearly 30 years, his sense of adventure lives on through me and my family.
My flight back to the states and rental car pickup My flight back to the states and rental car pickup last night went seamlessly! I had left my truck with my daughter and son-in-law who had a plan to design a modification to the truck bed while I was in Europe. Y’all, I’ll post separately on what he did. It’s worth a video. I can’t wait to field test it!

Right now, I’m halfway back up the coast towards Tallahassee and stopping at my favorite place for Cedar Key clams. It’s 87F (30C) and The warm clothes I took abroad with me will get packed away until next time🌞🌞🌞
When I retired on this day 3 years ago, my plan wa When I retired on this day 3 years ago, my plan was to travel full time. And I’m loving every minute. Even those that have me sitting in the airport in London a day later than I should be because my flight from Copenhagen to London yesterday had to return to Copenhagen mid-flight - we weren’t told why. Which means I had to reschedule my missed flight to Florida for today and take the only remaining seat which is in the middle of the center row🙄.

But that’s okay. Even though I still had my time set on Copenhagen time and left my hotel an hour earlier than I needed to. 🤦‍♀️ Travel, in my experience, is rarely linear and even these detours are part of the adventure. I have until Sunday to get do the maintenance things I need to do on my camper before I hit the road again. Plenty of time 😂
Hanging out in Copenhagen waiting for @[75306592:J Hanging out in Copenhagen waiting for @[75306592:Jessica Goff] and @[634421113:Mallory V. Goff] to arrive tomorrow morning. It’s dinner here (6 hours ahead of EST) and I think I chose wisely 😀
I’ve been coming fairly regularly to London for I’ve been coming fairly regularly to London for about 20 years and try and discover new things each time I visit. But one thing I ALWAYS do is the British Museum. Even in 2020 when we were in various states of closure and lockdown, I went with it’s limited options. This time I was determined to see the Sutton Hoo exhibit because I am always to exhausted by the time I get to that part of the museum.

So I passed through China, Assyrian treasures, Egypt and a thousand other things and headed to ancient Britain. Fascinating. Well worth the visit 😁
I made it to my “Home from Home”. It’s raini I made it to my “Home from Home”. It’s raining and chilly right now, but that’s okay. La Gaffe started as a restaurant only, then over time added rooms. The restaurant is true to the Stella family roots and serves some of the best Italian food I’ve had anywhere, including Italy. For nearly a decade I’ve made having spaghetti bolognese a tradition that provides a warm hug after a long travel day/night. I can’t imagine coming to London and being anywhere else.

Thank you @[100000395612370:Bernardo Stella] for my welcome cup of coffee, and Lorenzo for continuing the family tradition and all you do for those of us who stay with you across the years. ❤️
After 5 wonderful months being a snowbird in my ow After 5 wonderful months being a snowbird in my own state, I’m off. Back to London. Thank you Mallory for providing me such a lovely place to recoup and regroup. The time flew by! Hugs to my girls, Shannon, Jessica and Mallory who unconditionally support this nomadic lifestyle of their mother. Cheers y’all
Once upon a time, a dinosaur and a unicorn came to Once upon a time, a dinosaur and a unicorn came to spend the night in Grandma Mindy’s little camper. The dinosaur who just turned 5 was learning to read and read stories to grandma before bedtime. The unicorn (who’s a little bossy) told the dinosaur what books to read. The next morning, they shed their dinosaur and unicorn skin and became pirates who searched for treasure (acorns) to put in the treasure chest (an old conch shell). The unicorn even made her bed. It was a lot of fun. The end. 😂
